Did you know that there is a discussion board on the CRAFT website? It's a useful but underused benefit of CRAFT membership with great potential for sharing comments and questions with the group. Read on for how-to from CRAFT board member Janet Francouer, Carolina Creations . . .
CRAFT Website 101: A Tutorial on Discussion Forums
Here's how you can view and participate in discussions:
You must be logged in to access the forum. If you don't remember your password, just request to reset it by clicking the link on the log in page or by emailing Susan, susan@thegrandhand.com
After logging in, click on "membership services" from the left menu, scroll down to "discussion forums" and click for the link to a menu of forum topics, click on the topic of your choice and join the conversation!
The most current discussion is on the use of loyalty card programs.
Suggested discussion: What's your good news? Any discoveries, creative solutions or field notes to share with the group? Creative types, we know, are the problem solvers in our world. What successes have you had in meeting the challenges of the new economy?
Thanks Janet!
Twice each month, CRAFT board members meet via teleconference to strategize for the group. At this time, valuable feedback from the membership is reported and responded to in the planning sessions. Make your thoughts known! Contact a board member (listed at craftonline.org) with questinos or concerns, and to ask about volunteering for special projects!
CRAFT is a national organization of artists, retailers & show sponsors working to support American craft, save money, educate & network.
Greg Worden, leading the discussion at next week's free CRAFT teleconference, says "We'll focus on positive ways to merchandise and market in challenging times: ideas to help weather the economic storm, promotions, ways to save money, and successful events, at the T3 on March 17. We'll also be wearing green!"
